Lowndesboro Community Celebration Committee Event

Join us for the Lowndesboro Community Celebration Committee Event on July 27, 2019.
The new mayor, Anne Spooner and some town people are working with The Elmore Bolling Foundation to plan the event which will be held on the school’s campus from 9 am to 2 pm.
The school’s founder, a former slave, Dr. Mansfield Tyler served in the Alabama legislature from 1870-1872, founded several churches, served on the trustee board of Selma University from its inception until his death in 1904. Dr. Tyler was inducted into the Alabama Men’s Hall of Fame last September 2018. Some of Dr. Tyler’s descendants from several states will be in attendance as well as many of TEBF’s board members to include board chair, Victoria Rothbaum from Boston, MA.
