The Elmore Bolling Foundation

​​​The Elmore Bolling Foundation, a non-profit corporation was organized on May 28, 2008 and incorporated on June 11, 2008. It was founded with the committed interest in improving the educational opportunities and achievements in the Lowndes County, Alabama community.

Mission Statement

The Elmore Bolling Foundation mission is to promote community-wide interest for the concerns of the disadvantaged by continuing in his tradition of providing social services through different venues to include, but not limited to, scholarship, education and the providing of information for the betterment of the residents of Lowndes County , other Black Belt and under-represented citizens of the State of Alabama.

The Elmore Bolling Foundation will:

facilitate and assist in the development of green jobs and environmentally healthy and friendly communities. Support efforts to stimulate the Black Belt economy in agriculture, automotive and related interests.

facilitate efforts to ensure appropriate and adequate training is provided to produce, support and maintain jobs created in the Black Belt.

preserve and restore the 19th Century Historic Lowndesboro School.
